Try Cabana needed a website that prioritized the mobile experience without compromising on desktop, paired with a content management setup flexible enough to support ongoing updates. The project covered responsive design, a dual CMS integration, and a custom-built interactive component.
Scope of Work
Web Designer & Developer
Mobile-first design and responsive layout
The design process started at mobile and scaled up, ensuring the experience was optimized for the majority of users from the ground up.
Designed responsive layouts built around mobile-first principles
Streamlined user flows to reduce friction and guide users toward key actions
Prioritized performance for mobile load times and interactions
Extended the same clarity and simplicity to the desktop experience
CMS architecture with Framer and Notion
The site needed a content structure that was both scalable and easy for the team to manage without technical overhead.
Built dynamic pages connected to CMS collections using Framer's native CMS
Integrated a Notion database through FramerSync, allowing the team to manage content directly from Notion
The combined setup supports flexible updates and a structure that can grow with the business without breaking the design system
Custom BMI calculator component
One section of the site required a functional, on-brand interactive tool rather than a generic embed.
Designed the calculator interface to match the site's existing visual system
Developed the component in HTML with AI-assisted support, keeping the code clean and maintainable
Ensured accurate functionality so the tool delivered real value to users
Integrated it into the surrounding layout so it reads as a native part of the site
Outcome
The result is a website that performs well on mobile, scales cleanly to desktop, and runs on a CMS structure that gives the Cabana team control over their content. The custom BMI calculator adds a functional, brand-consistent touchpoint that supports the overall user experience.
